Sinn

Definition:
sens
sentido
meaning

Sinn habitualmente se traduce como "significado", pero eso hace que frases como "el significado del ser" suenen demasiado definitorias. Nosotros utilizamos sentido. [Dreyfus]

NT: Meaning (Sinn), 1, 37fn (of difference), 137, 151-153, 156, 161, 324; meaningful (sinnvoll), 151; meaningless (sinnlos), 151; unmeaning (unsinnig), 152; give meaning (Sinn geben), 324-325; have meaning (Sinn haben), 151, 154, 221, 324, 348, 361. See also Significance; Signification; the Upon-which [BTJS]

NT: ´Sinn.´ In view of the importance of the distinction between ´Sinn´ and ´Bedeutung´ in German writers as diverse as Dilthey, Husserl, Frege and Schlick, we shall translate ´Sinn´ by ´meaning´ or ´sense´, depending on the context, and keep ´signification´ and ´signify´ for ´Bedeutung´ and ´bedeuten´. (The verb ´mean´ will occasionally be used to translate such verbs as ´besagen´, ´sagen´, ´heissen´ and ´meinen´, but the noun ´meaning´ will be reserved for ´Sinn´.) [BTMR]

Sinn (sense, meaning) — Despite the prevalence of the triple-sensed schema of intentionality in 1920-22, understood from the start as three “senses of direction,” the very sense of sense itself is not thematized until BT itself, where it is formally defined as the “toward-which according-to-which (Woraufhin) of the projection,” structured by the threefold pre-suppositional structure of Dasein’s hermeneutic situation, out of which something becomes understandable as something (SZ 151). Cf. “Woraufhin” below. [KisielBT]

Sinn originalmente significava "viagem, caminho", mas agora corresponde aproximadamente, mas não exatamente, a "sentido". Bedeutung corresponde a " significado".

[LHDF]

Sinn (sense, meaning) — Despite the prevalence of the triple-sensed schema of intentionality in 1920-22, understood from the start as three “senses of direction,” the very sense of sense itself is not thematized until BT itself, where it is formally defined as the [505] “toward-which according-to-which (Woraufhin) of the projection,” structured by the threefold pre-suppositional structure of Dasein’s hermeneutic situation, out of which something becomes understandable as something (SZ 151). Cf. “Woraufhin” below. [KisielBT]

Was bedeutet Sinn? Das Phänomen begegnete der Untersuchung im Zusammenhang der Analyse von Verstehen und Auslegung. Danach ist Sinn das, worin sich die Verstehbarkeit von etwas hält, ohne daß es selbst ausdrücklich und thematisch in den Blick kommt. Sinn bedeutet das Woraufhin des primären Entwurfs, aus dem her etwas als das, was es ist, in seiner Möglichkeit begriffen werden kann. [SZ:323-324]
