Definition:

VIDE theoria 1. ‘…im Sinne der Sichtlosigkeit...’ The point of this sentence will be clear to the reader who recalls that the Greek verb theorein, from which the words ‘theoretical’ and ‘atheoretical’ are derived, originally meant ‘to see’. Heidegger is pointing out that this is not what we have in mind in the traditional contrast between the ‘theoretical’ and the ‘practical’. [BTMR]
