NT: Knowledge (Kenntnis: familiar know how or acquaintance), 36, 59, 123-125, 129, 135-136, 142, 155, 169, 178, 182, 252, 300, 330, 367, 401, 404, 411, 425, 427, et passim. See also Familiarity [BTJS]

NT: Kenntnis : connaissance.

While we have here translated ‘Kenntnis’ as ‘acquaintance’ and ‘Erkennen’ as ‘knowledge about’, these terms must not be understood in the special senses exploited by Lord Russell and C. L. Lewis. The ‘acquaintance’ here involved is of the kind which may be acquired whenever one is well informed about something, whether one has any direct contact with it or not. [BTMR]
