UNCOVER (entdecken). In its understanding, being-there [Dasein] uncovers entities [Seiende] within the world [innerweltlich], which have readiness-to-hand [Zuhandenheit] as their way of being. This is only possible because being-there is in its being-in-the-world familiar with meaningfulness. The discovery of entities presupposes the disclosedness of the world. Only when the being of an entity within the world has been discovered can it be uncovered in its pure presence-at-hand [Vorhandenheit]. The discovery of entities is the factical basis for the primordial phenomenon of truth. [HDHP]
