kategoriale Anschauung

intuição categorial, categorial intuition

The basic point is that categories are already ‘seen’ in perception, for example, though not as categories but such that the simple perception of an object is in its way absorbed and engrossed in categorial apprehension. Categorial intuition here is intuition of that which is then conceptually grasped as a category. There is therefore a distinction between the categorial, that which can eventually be grasped as a category, and the category as a concept. The distinction is important in understanding in what way the discovery of categorial intuition provides the basis for research into the categories and apriori structures of experience (cf. GA20TK, pp. 71ff. below). [Kisiel; GA20TK]
